Zaha Hadid -Travelling Pavilon for Chanel

Zaha Hadid's artistic buildings are always designed to be simple, smooth and amazing. They are typical examples of the fact that purity is beautiful. When you look at such an architecture you feel like you want to touch it, put it into your pocket and go home with it. It makes you happy and inspires you... They definitely have to be here in this blog!

Program:
Travelling Exhibition Pavilion designed for Chanel.
Locations worldwide: Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, and Paris.

Concept:
The form of the Chanel Pavilion is a celebration of the iconic work of Chanel, unmistakeable for its smooth layering of exquisite details that together create an elegant, cohesive whole. The resulting structure is very much tied to that original inspiration—elegant, functional, and versatile both in its overall structure and detail. The architectural structure of the Pavilion is a series of continuous arch-shaped elements, with a courtyard in its central space. The glazed ceiling adjusts to allow for control of the interior temperature in response to the particular climate conditions of each venue city.

Size:
29 x 45 m, a total of 700 m²
